Initial Consultation An initial consultation includes a detailed health history of you and your baby, learning about your feeding goals, observing a feeding, measuring the baby's intake with a sensitive scale, assessing the situation and creating a manageable plan to achieve your goals. Initial consults are approximately 2 hours in length.
Follow-Up Consultation A follow-up consultation includes discussing progress since the initial consultation, observing a feeding, measuring the baby's intake with a sensitive scale, providing further recommendations and adjusting the plan as needed.
Prenatal Consultation A Prenatal consultation is designed to help you prepare to feed your baby. I highly recommend this consultation for first-time expectant parents, or birthing parents who are expecting again after experiencing previous chestfeeding or breastfeeding challenges. Partners are encouraged to attend. We discuss how to get off to a good start with breastfeeding in the hospital. And share information that will help build your confidence.
