Initial Consultation An initial consultation includes a detailed health history of you and your baby, learning about your feeding goals, observing a feeding, measuring the baby's intake with a sensitive scale, assessing the situation and creating a manageable plan to achieve your goals. Initial consults are approximately 2 hours in length.
Follow-Up Consultation A follow-up consultation includes discussing progress since the initial consultation, observing a feeding, measuring the baby's intake with a sensitive scale, providing further recommendations and adjusting the plan as needed.
Prenatal Consultation A Prenatal consultation is designed to help you prepare to breastfeed your baby. I highly recommend this consultation for first time moms or mothers who are expecting and have had previous challenges with breastfeeding. Partners are encouraged to attend. We discuss how to get off to a good start with breastfeeding in the hospital. And share information that will help build your confidence. Below is a list of topics we will cover:
